The U.S. export control and sanctions regulations are extraordinarily complex. Compliance with these laws is an enormous undertaking that requires a person to have extensive expertise, along with time to plan and the determination to see it through to its fruition.

Your instructor, John K. (“Jack”) Shelton, serves as outside general counsel for domestic and international businesses. Jack’s background places a particular emphasis on serving importers, exporters, and the shipping/logistics industry. He has negotiated the sale of a cargo ship, obtained military clearance for a government contractor, and written obscure legal paradigms for tech companies in the logistics industry.
