Govology: Improving SBA Certification Applications

This workshop requires you first to register with the UH PTAC by selecting the "Register Online" link below. After you have completed the UH PTAC registration, YOU MUST select the "Continue" link and you will be taken to the Govology website. On the Govology website select the "Buy now" link to complete the registration process. If you are an existing UH PTAC client, enter your coupon code during the Govology registration and the training is free for you to attend.

Many eligible contractors submit an SBA certification application — whether 8(a), WOSB, or HUBZone — only for it to be deemed “incomplete.” Meeting basic eligibility requirements is not always enough to ensure certification. During this session, Ms. Cherie Guildford, U.S. SBA, will walk you through what you should do to submit a stronger certification application.

Here’s what you will learn:

• common misunderstandings and oversights;
• how possible affiliation affects the application;
• the crucial importance of financials and federal tax returns;
• the invaluable role of PTAC as a “devil’s advocate.”
